STOCK BROKER CONVICTED

A Pensacola stock broker has been found guilty of nine felony charges, for defrauding a physician’s widow of more than a million dollars of life insurance proceeds. Ronald Ball had, a suspended stock broker, obtained the widow’s money under the pretense he would invest life insurance proceeds for her benefit, but then used more than $800,000 for himself. After his arrest, Ball sent a threatening text to the victim and tried to hide evidence of his actions from investigators. Ball faces a minimum of 16 years in prison.
