The flu outbreak continues across the nation and the impact is being felt in Northwest Florida. The problem is so severe in Gulf County that School Superintendent Jim Norton said all schools will close Friday after more than 100 students were out sick at schools in Port St. Joe and more than 60 were absent from Wewahitchka schools yesterday. Santa Rosa County Superintendent Tim Wyrosdick said his district has seen an increase of flu, but it had not reached the numbers of Gulf County.
