Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced that thousands of cordless electric chainsaws are being recalled because of a defect with the chain brake guard. The brake guard can fail allowing the chainsaw to continue to operate. The saws, sold under the brand names of Kobalt, Greenworks and Snapper and were carried at Lowe’s and other stores nationwide. They are also sold online at Amazon.com, Lowes.com and other websites from January 2015 through October 2017 for between $170 and $300.
