Escambia Fire-Rescue says the Molino Fire Station was struck by lightning yesterday morning about 10:30 damaging several electronic items. The strike knocked out power, radios and other electronic equipment at the fire station on Molino Road, but there was no fire and no injuries were reported. Fire services were not impacted, but the radio system will have to be repaired and Escambia County Facilities Management will attend to other damage.
