An Escambia County Sheriff’s Office sergeant has been arrested for punching his girlfriend in the face. Johnny Perkins is facing a misdemeanor charge of battery after his girlfriend reported he slammed her head against his car’s dashboard then punched her after the two got into an argument at a bar on Pensacola Beach. Perkins has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the criminal investigation.
