Gulf Islands National Seashore has announced the schedule to reopen roads and facilities in Northwest Florida now that Alberto has passed. Fort Pickens, Santa Rosa, and Perdido Key Areas are set to reopen by 10:00 a.m. today with the Fort Pickens Campground on a first-come, first-serve basis. Reservations will be honored starting tomorrow. Naval Live Oaks and Fort Barrancas will be open during their normal operating hours. Highway 399, or J. Earle Bowden Way, between Pensacola Beach and Navarre Beach, reopened yesterday evening. In the Okaloosa Area an opening time will be announced once impacts of the storm have been assessed.
