Pensacola Beach officials estimate that close to 250,000 people attended the Blue Angels Air Show on Pensacola beach over the weekend. Traffic counts from Escambia County and the Santa Rosa Island Authority showed 83,123 vehicles entered the beach from either direction between Wednesday and Saturday. Officials multiply each vehicle by three to estimate the number of people who entered the beach during the period at 249,369. Approximately 3,400 additional people came to the beach on Friday and Saturday via the new Pensacola Bay ferry service. Officials estimated last year’s attendance at 245,787.
