Because of the on-going threat from wildfires, Walton County commissioners will consider a countywide ban on outdoor burning at today’s meeting. The recent Mussett Bayou fire wildfire destroyed 34 homes and caused significant additional damage. BEACHES IN NAPLES CLOSED

Officials in Naples, Florida closed the beaches Sunday because visitors were not practicing social distancing and could have contributed to the spread of the coronavirus. The Five Mile Swamp Fire in Santa Rosa County that has burned over 2,200 acres is now considered 65% contained.
