FATAL SHOOTING

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a weekend fatal shooting. Deputies responding to the 800 block of Limoges Way in Montclair found 33-year old LaMarcus Fails dead from multiple gunshot wounds. CORRECTION OFFICERS ATTACKED

The Florida Department of Corrections says correctional officers in Century were recently attacked by inmates in two separate incidents. On February 18th, inmate Jamal Harris pushed and struck officers who were treated by medical staff. On February 13th, inmate Christian Lee punched an officer in the shoulder, but did not injure him. WORKER KILLED

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office says a worker died after falling from a 16-story Destin Condo Saturday afternoon. Deputies say the 38-year-old man was part of a working crew on top of Silver Shells condominiums on Emerald Coast Parkway around 2pm. The Florida Lottery has identified the person who purchased a winning Fantasy Five ticket on Nine Mile Road last week. The ticket was worth $68,640.92 and was sold to Ross A. Pensacola Beach tolls will go cashless this summer with all traffic lanes using the electronic toll collection – either Sun Pass transponders or the toll-by-plate system.
