MYRTLE GROVE SHOOTING

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported shooting in West Escambia County. Responding deputies say shots were fired into a home in the 8300-block of Tabaid Place off West Fairfield Drive in Myrtle Grove around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. There were no reported injuries and no arrests have been made. The investigation is on-going.MORE

GULF POWER PLANT FIRE

More than 20 firefighting units responded to a fire at the Gulf Power Plant Crist on Saturday morning. An Escambia County spokesperson, said the fire started in a coal silo and one firefighter sustained minor injuries.
