The Florida Highway Patrol says a 52-year old pedestrian was struck and killed on Nine Mile Road late Wednesday night. ALABAMA ESCAPEE RECAPTURED 1-6-17

A convicted rapist who escaped from the Fountain Correctional Facility in Atmore yesterday has been recaptured. Alabama Department of Corrections officials say 37-year-old Bobby Campbell and 24-year-old Mitchell Worthy were taken into custody around 2 p.m. yesterday in Montgomery. GRAFFITI BRIDGE TRAFFIC CRASH 1-5-17
