WEEKEND FATAL STABBING

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal weekend stabbing. It happened Sunday morning around 7 a.m. near 62nd Avenue and Fairfield Drive. 26-year-old Demarko Weathers was taken to Baptist Hospital with stab wounds where he later died. No arrests have been made and the investigation is continuing.MORE

MISSING TEENAGER

Escambia County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for missing teenager. 16-year-old Andrea Garcia was last seen on Saturday, October 19th around 7:30 p.m leaving for the fair and did not return. She was last seen wearing a white shirt, jeans, brown shoes, and a sweater.MORE

FLORIDA UNEMPLOYMENT RATE

The latest Florida unemployment numbers show a drop in the unemployment rate. Florida’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 3.2 percent in September 2019, down a tenth of a percentage point from the August rate and from a year ago. The U.S. unemployment rate was 3.5 percent in September.MORE

CAR BURGLARIES ARREST

The Bay County Sheriff’s Office says two juveniles have been arrested for a string of car burglaries in the Bayou George area.
