PERDIDO KEY TRAFFIC FATALITY

The Florida Highway Patrol said one person died yesterday afternoon in a two-vehicle traffic crash on Perdido Key. Troopers say it occurred shortly after 3 p.m. at the intersection of Perdido Key Drive and Lafitte Reef. FHP spokesman Lieutenant Robert Cannon said the person died after suffering cardiac arrest. SANTA ROSA COUNTY WILDFIRE CONTAINED

After two days the Florida Forest Service’s Blackwater Forestry Center says a wildfire in Midway in Santa Rosa County that scorched about three acres is 100% contained.
