GOVERNOR WANTS MORE FEDERAL STORM RECOVERY FUNDS

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis continues to push for more federal money to aid in the recovery from Hurricane Michael. BODY OF MISSING DIVER FOUND

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Department says divers have recovered the body of a 28-year-old snorkeler who went missing Sunday evening in the Gulf of Mexico. WALTON COUNTY WILDFIRE

A wild fire in South Walton County is said to be about 90 percent contained. Firefighters were dispatched to a four-acre fire on Monday afternoon between Goldsby and Mack Bayou Roads. The State Attorney’s Office announced they will ask for the death penalty for the Niceville man who stabbed his 3-year-old son repeatedly on March 15th in their home on Rawlins Court in Okaloosa County. 61-year-old Frederick Franken stabbed his son after his wife said she wanted a divorce.
