Gulf Power will ask the Public Service Commission for a 106 million- dollar rate hike to take effect July 1st. The company serves about 450,000 customers in Northwest Florida. FAMILY MEMBERS RETURN TO GUANTANAMO 10-12-16

Family members and non-essential personnel from Naval Station Guantanamo Bay who were evacuated to Naval Air Station Pensacola to seek refuge from Hurricane Matthew, are heading home to Guantanamo Bay. MURDERER ACQUITTED BY REASON OF INSANITY 10-12-16

ALABAMA FATAL SHOOTING 10-11-16

The Baldwin County, Alabama, Sheriff’s Department is still investigating a fatal shooting in the Crossroads Community that happened over the weekend. On Saturday. Responding deputies found 74-year-old Joseph Broughton, shot in the back of the head. Broughton was pronounced dead at the scene and investigators have ruled it a homicide. CHURCH DESTROYED BY FIRE 10-11-16

The fire that destroyed a Century church early Sunday morning is under investigation as a possible arson. ACCUSED SHOOTER ARRESTED 10-11-16

Pensacola Police have arrested a 24-year-old man wanted on an attempted murder charge for a Saturday shooting. Ray Bullard was taken into custody around noon yesterday in the 500 block of East Fairfield Drive. Bullard was charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
