The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office said a husband and wife died in murder-suicide at a home on Hazel Godwin Road south of Jay. GULF POWER RATE INCREASE APPROVED 4-5-17

The Florida Public Service Commission has approved a rate increase requested by Gulf Power. The 17-year old tourist from Louisville, Kentucky, bitten by a shark Sunday in Destin, has been identified. UWF LIGHTNING STRIKE 4-4-17

The strong thunderstorms that rolled through Northwest Florida yesterday resulted in a man at the University of West Florida being evaluated by Escambia County EMS after a nearby lightning strike. INMATES STABBED IN CENTURY 4-4-17

Authorities at Century Correctional Institution report that two inmates were stabbed Sunday afternoon Two ambulances and later a medical helicopter were called to the prison.
