The Panama City Beach Police Department has released the name of the  shooting victim who died after being taken to a local hospital on Monday. Police responded to the Wendy’s at 8720 Thomas Drive after a call about a shooting and found Larry Hill suffering from a gunshot wound. The case remains under investigation.MORE

PENSACOLA DEATH INVESTIGATION

The Pensacola Police Department is investigating after a body was found near Palafox Street in Pensacola yesterday afternoon. SANTA ROSA COUNTY VETERAN SENTENCED

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says a 46-year-old veteran from Santa Rosa County has been sentenced to three years probation and must pay thousands of dollars in restitution for defrauding the government of over $200,000. NAVY MOVES AIRCRAFT TO PENSACOLA

The Navy is moving seven aircraft from the Naval Station in Norfolk,  Virginia, to the Pensacola Naval Air Station ahead of Hurricane Dorian, which is expected to move up the East Coast. ALABAMA GAS TAX INCREASE

The first phase of Alabama’s gas tax increase went into effect Sunday. The gas tax adds an extra 6 cents per gallon. Another 2 cents is coming in 2020 and 2021 – making a total 10 cent increase.
