The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office says a 37-year-old Pensacola man accused of torturing a toddler has died a week after hanging himself in his jail cell. Pensacola Police are conducting a homicide investigation after the body of 66-year-old James Royster, of Pensacola, was found yesterday morning at a home at 1035 East Lee Street.
