PANAMA CITY CODE ENFORCEMENT

Code enforcement in Panama City has begun for properties damaged by Hurricane Michael. Bay County appraisers estimate property values in Panama City dropped 14.2 percent in 2020 – numbers that will only increase after properties damaged beyond repair are demolished. PEANUT BUTTER CHALLENGE UNDERWAY

OPENING DAY FOR PENSACOLA INTERSTATE FAIR

The 85th annual Pensacola Interstate Fair opens today at 4pm featuring one-dollar entry and one-dollar ride tickets for everyone. A former Booker T. Washington High School English teacher has entered a plea of no contest to charges of having sex with female students. SCHOOL BUS COLLISION

The Florida Highway Patrol says a Pensacola man was cited for colliding with a school bus in a Highway 29 construction zone. Troopers say 71-year-old William Brewer, was northbound on Highway 29 when his car side-swiped a school bus driven by Cathleen Schlobohm. MARIANNA FEDERAL PRISON STILL NOT OPEN

The Federal Bureau of Prisons has not told Jackson County or the city of Marianna when the federal penitentiary will reopen.
