The Florida Highway Patrol and the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help in developing information about a hit-and-run that critically injured a Crestview woman back on September 25th. DESTIN BOAT CRASH

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office says two people sustained minor injuries when their boat hit the Gulf side of the West Jetties in Destin Saturday night. GULF BREEZE DOCTORS ARRESTED

U.S. Attorney Lawrence Keefe says two Gulf Breeze doctors are charged with acquiring controlled substances through fraud and identity theft.  49-year-old Robert Jensen, and 44-year-old Michael Harris. ELEVEN MILE CREEK ALGAE BLOOM

The Florida Department of Health in Escambia County has issued a health alert for toxins in surface waters of Escambia County, produced by blue-green algae. Testing by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection showed low levels of toxins in Eleven Mile Creek downstream of the Mobile Highway bridge. SCHOOL PRINCIPAL UNDER INVESTIGATION

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office says the Principal of Helen Caro Elementary School is under investigation after a parent of a student at the school said her child’s wrist was injured by Principal Sandra Moore. The incident happened on Tuesday and no arrests have been made.MORE
